Core New Mechanic: Sly

Dynamic Utility: The most significant addition to the Silent's arsenal in Slay the Spire 2. Cards with the Sly keyword gain a powerful dual-use property: they can be played traditionally for their Energy cost, or discarded to trigger their effect automatically for 0 Energy.

Engine Optimization: This mechanic turns discard effects from a "cost" into a "trigger," allowing the Silent to play high-cost cards even when Energy is low.

Master Planning: The rare power Master Planner grants the Sly keyword to every Skill in your hand, potentially allowing an entire hand of utility cards to be played for free through a single mass-discard effect.

Evolution of Shiv Synergies

The iconic Shiv playstyle receives a massive power-up in Slay the Spire 2, with new synergies designed to reward players for accumulating and exhausting their daggers:

Exhaust Interaction: Unlike the first game, several core Shiv generators like Blade Dance now have the Exhaust keyword. This fuels a new finisher, Execution (Rare), which deals damage and plays every single Shiv currently sitting in your exhaust pile.

Phantom Knives: A new Power that transforms the Silent into an AOE monster, causing every Shiv to hit all enemies while continuously generating more daggers in hand.

Hidden Daggers: Hidden Daggers+ perfectly bridges the gap between archetypes — discard cards (triggering Sly effects) while adding multiple Shivs to your hand simultaneously.
